Chelsea 2022-23 pre-season preview: squad analysis, schedule, opponents, venue
The Blues will have their training camp in Los Angeles, California, and then play a series of high-level fixtures at some of the biggest stadiums in the country.
Thomas Tuchel will ask his players to return for pre-season on July 2 and his international players will return a week later on July 9. The Blues train at UCLA’s world-class facilities for a week. It was also Jose Mourinho’s favorite destination for the pre-season.
The Blues will then travel to the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to open their pre-season with a game against Mexican giants Club America. Tuchel’s side will then travel to North Carolina and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte to take on the MLS side.
After that, the Blues will face their London rivals Arsenal at the Camping World Stadium.

Chelsea will start their season on August 6 with an away game against Everton at Goodison Park, led by former Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard. They will then host local rivals Spurs before taking on Leeds United.
The Blues will be keen to have a much better next season after a mixed last season which saw them challenged by several off-field issues. With a new owner on board, they should be very active this summer, even though they haven’t opened their business yet.
Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have both left the club and more could follow with the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Hakim Ziyech heavily linked with exits. Romelu Lukaku meanwhile looks set to join Inter Milan on loan after a poor season while Timo Werner could also be set to leave.
