Dan Ventrelle reveals shocking reason Mark Davis fired him as team president

The Las Vegas Raiders took some serious steps in the offseason, acquiring stars like Davante Adams and Chandler Jones in a clear winning move now. However, the controversy surrounding the team still lingers in this team. That became apparent when they abruptly fired team president Dan Ventrelle on Friday night.

It was initially unclear why Ventrelle was fired as president of the Raiders. Ventrelle, however, would soon answer this question. Mick Akers shared a text from the ex-president detailing his dismissal. The content of it is, well, overwhelming, to say the least.

Oh man. According to Dan Ventrelle, Raiders owner Mark Davis fired him after he brought his workplace concerns to the league. The ex-president cited a “hostile work environment” within the team and said he spoke to Davis about it himself. When Davis didn’t follow up on his complaint, Ventrelle took it to the NFL itself, which he said didn’t sit well with the owner.

The Raiders were caught in a turbulent storm last season, mostly revolving around Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock. With both men leaving the team, many fans hoped they would bring the drama with them out of Vegas. Obviously, however, this is not the case.

Despite the chaos in their front office, there’s still plenty to be excited about for Raiders fans. The additions of Adams and Jones will surely help them reach new heights this season. Adams, in particular, will be an exciting addition as he teams up with his former college quarterback Derek Carr.
