New TV Shows and Movies Arriving June 6-12

HBO Max watchers are in for a treat the first week of June as the streaming service adds exciting new content to its lineup. From June 6, the long-awaited Irma Vep the limited series will make its debut. Olivier Assayas’ thriller is the remake of his 1996 film of the same name. It features star Alicia Vikander (grave robber, The Danish Girl) portraying an actress joining a limited series remake of the French silent film classic The vampires. Irma Vep premiered at the recent Cannes Film Festival, to critical acclaim. Plus, die-hard sci-fi fans will get a chance to watch Season 13 of the fan-favorite British series. Doctor Whothe latter featuring Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor.

Fans of the superhero series will be treated with Noemie, the first season—and likely the last, since the series hasn’t been renewed—of the live-action adaptation of the comic book series of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker. The series arrives on HBO Max on June 10.

At the end of the week, The card counter will be available. Paul Schrader’s drama premiered at the Venice International Film Festival last year. The cast includes Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan and Willem Dafoe.
