On Wednesday, the Raiders’ streak with Player of the Week ended. Defensive end Maxx Crosby was defensive player of the week for game one, and in week two kicker Daniel Carlson was AFC special teams player of the week. Ironically, Carr didn’t win the Player of the Week award in September.
However, there was little chance that Carr was not will win the player of the month award. He leads the NFL with 1,203 passing yards and is poised to break the record for passing yards in one season. Carr has been brilliant so far and is one of the first NFL MVP contenders.
This award could be the first of a special season for Carr and the Raiders.
