Ranking the best wide receivers on the Buffalo Bills 2022 schedule

Last year, the Buffalo Bills had the best pass defense in the NFL after allowing just 163 passing yards per game and 12 touchdowns, five less than the Los Angeles Rams who were second and awarded 17.

This year, the Buffalo Bills are bringing back four of their five starters with first draft pick Kaiir Elam being the new addition and replacing Levi Wallace, who signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency. The bigger question, however, is when Tre’Davious White will be able to return and play at the All-Pro level he has had for the past few years.

White suffered a torn ACL last season and the hope is he can return for the start of the year, but the Buffalo Bills won’t get a good feel for it until training camp.

The sooner Tre’Davious White can return the better, especially with those five wide receivers on their schedule this year.

Amari Cooper was a first-round pick by the Raiders in 2015 and since then has been one of the most consistent wide receivers in the league between his years with the Raiders and recently the Cowboys. In eight years, he made the Pro Bowl four times, had over 1,000 receiving yards in five years and also had six or more touchdowns in five seasons.

In an effort to free up space, the Cowboys traded Cooper to the Cleveland Browns where he is expected to be the team’s number one wide receiver. Even with Odell Beckham Jr. on their team recently, the Browns have generally been offense first, but the addition of Cooper could give them the balance they’ve been looking for.

The Buffalo Bills face the Cleveland Browns in Week 11, so they should have a good idea at this point in the season if Cooper helps that offense the way many expect. This should also be a time when Tre’Davious White is back and fires the mission of covering for the former first-round pick.
